How to Cut Fine Details with a Silhouette Machine and Graphtec CB09 Blade

This tutorial shows you how to put together a graphtec cb09 Blade and the setup I use with my Silhouette Portrait Machine to cut fine details. The Lettering was done in the Procreate App, exported as an image and then traced with the silhouette Studio App (free version), I used Matte Vinyl from the Silhouette Blade. I know these blades supposedly work with the Silhouette Cameo too, I do not know about Cricut Machines.

Streaky Paint Text Effect in Procreate on iPad Pro

This style is inspired by @stefankunz & @ipadlettering, I tried to figure out how they do it and came up with a similar effect using only procreate default brushes, and since I was asked how I achieved this look by a great many people, here’s the Tutorial for it.

This is done on an iPad Pro 9.7 in the Procreate App, using the Apple Pencil.

So I’ve realized there aren’t really any tutorials on how to create calligraphy guidesheets in Adobe Illustrator (I use CC).

There are different ways to get a PDF of guide sheets, there’s an online generator I’ve used before to get the guidesheets you can download in my freebies section, but in the end I did turn to Illustrator to create my guides, because it’s easier to adjust, add text to it, change the paper size, etc. So here’s how to do it.

And we’ll only draw 4 paths for this to create the most adjustable and fastest guide sheet you’ve ever drawn.
